SEO Account Manager

Salary: $55,000.00 to $63,000.00 /year

SearchLab is seeking an experienced, team-oriented SEO to fill our Account Manager position. The Account Manager is responsible for the overall strategy, tactics and reporting for a group of SearchLab clients. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively to achieve client goals. The Account Manager must be comfortable communicating SEO best practices with clients and our internal team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of SEO strategy for a group of clients
  • Effectively communicate expectations to clients and internal team members
  • Act as a subject matter expert during client phone calls, meetings and reviews
  • Identify and execute SEO tactics in order to advance client goals
  • Must be capable of delegating tasks to analyst team or third-party
  • Responsible for timely completion of tasks designed to improve SEO performance
  • Must ensure the completion, accuracy and timeliness of reporting to clients
  • Work well as a member of the team
  • Identify and eliminate barriers to client retention


  • At least 1-year experience in SEO (salary determined by years of experience)
  • Familiarity with popular internet marketing tools like Google Analytics, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Moz or similar
  • Experience in setting up SEO reporting and tracking
  • Client facing experience (e.g. reviewing results and answering follow-up questions via phone, email, and in-person meetings.)
  • Outstanding communication skills
